Notification of Generator Installation | The Electricity Business Act and Appointment of a Chief Engineer

Did you know that you need to file a notification when installing a generator on-site?

A close colleague in the industry just told me this, but I didn't know about it.

So, I did a little research and found it on the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s website.

Among the electrical equipment, such as portable power generators, used at construction sites and other locations, there are
It is subject to the regulations of the Electricity Business Act as a “private electrical installation,” and
Some matters require procedures with the government.

And it says here that a chief engineer has been appointed.

Just putting the generator there has turned into a real hassle...

Since you might hear comments like this in the future, I think it would be a good idea to give this a quick read.

Private Electrical Installations"..." seems to be the name.

So, going forward,Let's call them "mobile electrical installations" and "private electrical installations"!

"I want to lease a 60 kVA private electrical installation!"

It's funny, but I'll probably forget it lol
