It's Christmas, huh? lol

Personally, I couldn't care less, though.

Well, it's kind of like a once-a-year event for the kids.

It's only two days until the end of the work year, isn't it?

I looked at my gear and thought, “Come to think of it, I’ve never actually washed this,” lol.

Have any of you ever washed your belt gear?

 

I'm the type of person who isn't really bothered by things like that—I just don't mind them, so I figure a little dirt is okay.

However, from the perspective of keeping equipment clean, it’s important to wash your waist gear and fall arrest devices (formerly known as safety harnesses).

 

There's grease on it, or cement, right?

In fact, I often see people whose belts are partially damaged.

Since we use mortar in our work, it tends to get all sticky, doesn't it?

Also, since they often get rubbed against things, some parts may be torn.

 

Be sure to perform thorough maintenance at least two or three times a year.

Legally, periodic inspections are required once a month.

I use it every day, so I’m sure I’ve seen it, but just because it’s worked so far doesn’t mean I assume it will continue to work.

After all, you never know when an accident might happen.

 

It's best to inspect it every month and give it a thorough cleaning and maintenance once every few months.

 

I'm planning to give my fall arrest equipment (safety harness) a thorough cleaning this year, too.

It's just that it's cold, so my spirits are really low... lol

 

By the way, it’s recommended to wash it using diluted neutral detergent and water no hotter than 70 degrees.

If it's too thick, it'll melt lol (duh)
