There are only three days left until the end of the year.
Let's take it slow and steady.
Getting anxious right now won't change anything.
I think there will be some cases where we have to wrap up by the end of the year due to on-site circumstances, or just wrap up because of the snow—and there might even be some last-minute rushes.
But anyway, don't rush things here.
This is especially true when there are new employees, such as technical interns.
The interns run around without really understanding what's being said.
It just runs around frantically, trying to work and be helpful, without really knowing what it's doing.
I think it’s great to be so enthusiastic, but sometimes that can backfire and lead to an accident.
People often say that this is because Japanese foremen give clear instructions, but,
To begin with, there’s also the punchline that you can’t really give clear instructions to someone you can’t communicate with properly, but,
Ultimately, if anything happens, it’s the foreman’s responsibility.
Some appropriate instructions would be:
1. Get a feel for the flow of the site!
2. Keep track of people's movements!
3. Watch the machine's movements closely!
4. Memorize the words that come up repeatedly!
5. Learn the daily routine quickly!
6. Learn what you must not do!
7. If you don't understand, have the courage to say so!
8. Don't work just to please your foreman or your Japanese coworkers!!
9. Don't let getting scolded get you down!
10. Stop thinking that it’s okay to use anything other than specialized tools!
As long as you have a solid grasp of at least this much, things will work out.
There are plenty of other things I'd like to say, but,
I don't think foreigners can understand everything that even Japanese people can't fully grasp.
I hope you'll learn it little by little.
That way, you won't have to worry.
If you have the courage, you can dive right in and learn!
Knowledge enables you to act accurately!
If we act with precision, accidents will be reduced to an absolute minimum.
Knowledge and action are directly linked.
