This is about the size that a small hand can hold.
A reducer tank is really handy when using air tools like these!
It's what's commonly known as an "air sub-tank."
Normally, I think you'd connect it directly to the air compressor with a hose.
There are some benefits to installing a reducer tank.

Simply put, it helps prevent situations where you run out of air.

This is the air regulator tank (air sub-tank) we use at home.
Since this is primarily for rock drilling, it includes four 1-inch bits and two 1.5-inch (38 mm) bits.
The input from the 100-horsepower compressor consists of two 1½-inch lines. (2-inch lines are also acceptable.)
Also, one piece fits into the rock drill and one into the swivel for every inch.
Since I want to keep supplying air to the swivel while drilling with the rock drill, it would be really tough without a regulator tank.
Furthermore, as the extension gets longer, the air pressure drops, so it’s important to maintain the air pressure while ensuring an adequate air volume.
Otherwise, drilling will take a long time.
The larger the reducer tank, the more air capacity it provides, which in turn gives the compressor itself more headroom,
This allows for efficient construction.
The same applies to sprayers.
Even the latest spray guns come with a reducer tank, don't they?
If a 100-horsepower compressor isn't enough, we'll switch to a 180-horsepower one, but,
