If your tools aren't suited to the job site, just make them to fit. That alone will reduce your stress!

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Today, a construction-themed YouTuber is coming to the site to film a video ^^

We’ve gotten permission from both the general contractor and the government office to film, so we’re going to do it with confidence lol

I hope that by sharing this publicly, even just a little bit, it will help improve our image.

And it would be great if more young people were drawn to the civil engineering industry!

But that's beside the point.

Have you heard of this?

Perma Wrench

This wrench is called a Permall wrench.

This wrench is a specialized tool for removing the core tube used for core extraction.

To begin with, the material you're usually coring is mostly concrete, but,

In our case, it’s just standard natural ground, such as soil and gravel.

With concrete, the threads cut cleanly without any problems, but,

When working with natural soil, there are quite a few cases where the blade gets stuck and won't cut through.

So, what should we do?

You either have to stick a pipe in there and use this principle, or just put all your weight into it.

I'll put my weight on it first.

If that still doesn't work, it's time to bring out the steel pipes, lol.

But this wrench is designed for manual use, so it can't handle heavy loads lol (I guess so!)

Perma Wrench

So, I'll use this part that's causing the snag to create the whole thing.

We designed the red-circled area to have more grip and made the blue-square area behind it thicker so that it could withstand the load.

Since raw iron is soft, it is heat-treated to achieve high strength and toughness (HRC 50 or higher).

I made it using a material called S50C.

Though there’s definitely a good chance the pipe handle might break, lol.

We'll just have to keep trying things out on the job and learning from our mistakes to see how it turns out.

I'm looking forward to it.

Even simple tools can be modified to make them easier to use.

If you're not stressed, your mood will improve, and your chances of success will keep going up!

See you later.
