The screw thread is stripped...

This is the result of me telling them over and over again to be careful and do it carefully and thoroughly...

Specialty items like this are just really expensive.

I imagine it probably costs around 200,000 to make just one of these.

Even though there's a language barrier, it's still tough...

No matter how many times I tell him, he just uses brute force, doesn't he?

This is really a problem.

But if you just yell at them and scold them harshly, you’ll end up stunting their growth!

After I've given you thorough instructions, you can just redo it on your own lol

It would be a waste to just buy a new one, so I'll have it repaired.

I'll draw a manga-style illustration like this, weld the screw section back together, and bring it back to life.

Drill a hole about 10 mm in diameter in the main body, insert the screw portion, and weld it in place.

I tapped the thread once to see if the nut would fit. (It’s been a while, so I figured I’d use it as practice.)

The thread cutting seems to be fine.

We'll do build-up welding around this.

We got this far last week, and we'll do the thread cutting again on Monday.

Then adjust the length, and you're done.

I'll post the finished product at a later date.

I really am glad we have a lathe.

If I didn't have it, it would cost me tens of tens of thousands of yen, lol.

But making things is really fun, isn't it?
