Do you know how many technical interns and foreign workers are currently working in Japan?
I did a quick search on the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s website.
The total number is 2,300,000.

The percentage of interns is as follows:

There used to be a lot of Chinese people around, but now it's mostly Vietnamese, lol.
Surprisingly, there wasn't any data on the interns, so I had to look for it.
But it only shows the percentages, so I had to calculate it by hand lol
Wow, that's a huge number, isn't it?
Also, when I looked into crime rates and things like that, I couldn't find much useful data.
However, according to arrest statistics, the crime rate among foreign workers (and foreign residents) is approximately 1 to 21 TP3T.
And the crime rate among Japanese people was also around 1 percent.
Depending on the type of crime, the overall rate is low worldwide.
Does that mean that foreigners visiting Japan are also being so impressed by Japan’s merits that they’re no longer committing crimes?
I find myself thinking, “Is that what it means?” (Am I being too optimistic?)
When you go abroad, crime is just a fact of life, and,
Take Kenya, for example—it’s commonplace there for iron bridges to be cut up with gas torches or angle grinders and stolen!
You hardly ever see that in Japan, do you?
Well, if you consider that the bad guys make up only about 1%, Japan really is a peaceful place with low crime rates.
Even in Egypt, people will steal stuff at the first chance they get, and as soon as they see a foreigner, all they say is, “Give me money,” lol.
It's really annoying, isn't it? lol
I was thinking the other day as I watched foreign tourists visiting Japan.
Everyone wears their backpacks on the front when they're abroad!
That's because you might get pickpocketed or have your bag slashed and its contents stolen.
But all the foreigners visiting Japan are carrying backpacks on their backs, lol.
You're really out of touch with reality, lol.
But, as they say, when in Rome, do as the Romans do, right?
Just a few weeks in Japan, and you've already gotten so laid-back.
So, that means it's all about the environment!
There are also many technical interns who have been stationed in challenging regions.
So even though they were living a tough life there, once they come to Japan, things get easier.
Depending on the environment you put yourself in, you can become anything!
