Things I'm Glad Existed During This COVID-19 Pandemic.

It's becoming clear what I don't need.

 

Don't you all have moments like that, too?

For example, a large company (headquarters)

Everyone gathered at the office first thing in the morning and worked together in one place.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that this isn't necessary after all.

You can totally do that at home, lol.

Given that, is there really any need to go to the office?

 

I've actually been thinking this for a long time, lol.

Isn't staying home good enough??

"All I need is a printer and a laptop, and I can get my work done just fine," he said.

In reality, at construction sites, supervisors end up doing paperwork at the site office, and it’s gotten to the point where some people just won’t close up the site office because they don’t want to go back to the company, right? lol

From now on, if I say it's because of social distancing due to COVID-19, people will probably cut me some slack.

 

In fact, working from home can help relieve the stress of commuting and the interpersonal stress caused by interacting with others.

The company can eliminate unnecessary labor costs, utility bills, and—not to mention—office rent.

Meetings can easily be held remotely using software such as Zoom.

If you absolutely have to meet with someone, a rental meeting room will do just fine.

 

There will be no need for entertainment expenses either.

It's basically a waste, isn't it?

Drinking parties, or hanging out in the entertainment district after the safety meeting, lol (though I do go out for drinks)

Since there's no need to actually go play golf, let's enjoy *Everybody's Golf* online!

I don't go out for social activities like golf, so I never really felt the need for it to begin with lol

 

It is most efficient to conduct business activities via the Internet and other forms of communication.

However, thisBeing efficient can be very stressful.I am doing that.

That's because everything is just emotionless digital text.

People are creatures driven by the emotions and passion of others.

I guess emotions just need that little spark, huh? lol

You just can't feel the passion in digital media, after all.

 

This means it is highly likely that the construction industry will shift toward a system centered on headquarters in the future.

The company (headquarters) itself has been downsized to a space that houses only the necessary staff.

Are "useless" office workers headed for layoffs!?

Since supervisors manage each site individually, the figures entered into the system are likely being tracked.

And since the flow of money has always been driven by numbers anyway, this trend will likely intensify even further.

I think the same applies to the operational status of machinery.

 

And while the importance of analog is being reevaluated, where is analog headed?

In which areas should we focus our offline marketing efforts to effectively win new business?

 

Digital technology will continue to evolve rapidly whether we like it or not, but I’m wondering where the need for analog technology is headed.

We don’t know what the future holds, but by taking a close look at the current situation and examining its other side, we may be able to catch a glimpse of what lies ahead.

 

Is the future of the construction industry bright or bleak?

Social distancing due to COVID-19 is sure to bring about changes.
