Have you ever told a lie?

I've been tagging along a lot, too, lol.

We do tend to tell lies that suit us, don't we?

But the facade won't last long, so it'll be obvious.

 

I, too, have interviewed many people over the years.

So, I’m going to introduce you to the kind of person you should definitely not hire lol

I’ve actually written about something like this before, lol.

During the interview

 

1. I can't look them in the eye

2. Telling lies without a second thought (spotting contradictions)

3. When I ask, “Can you do this kind of work?” they say, “Yes! I can!”

 

Explanation

1. If someone can't make eye contact, it's likely that they have poor communication skills.

If you didn't bring it up yourself and aren't good at it, but you don't say so, it will cause problems later on.

These days, if you’re even a little strict, people call it workplace harassment, lol.

It's the same in the construction industry.

 

2. I don't like being tested, but while people who are sharp enough to point out contradictions are still okay, those who go with the flow and lie are dangerous.

Even with a simple lie like this, the important thing is that people like that lie as naturally as they breathe.

It's disappointing, but something like that happened again recently.

Well, I’m the type who gets fooled pretty easily, so I used to fall for it all the time, but I’ve grown up a bit lately lol.

I've gotten to the point where I can tell just by experience, haven't I?

This area seems very dangerous, so please be very careful.

 

3. People who say they can do it right away are also dangerous.

This is also very important: it’s risky to say “I can do it” right away when you have no experience.

I'm overestimating myself.

And when they can't do it, they tend to make up strange excuses or blame others.

Be careful with this type of person—they’ll immediately start threatening to go to the Labor Standards Office. (I’ve been there.)

In situations like this, a response like, “Let me think about it for a moment, and I’ll do my best to make it happen,” is perfectly fine.

People hesitate for a moment when doing something for the first time. That's normal.

 

There are a number of other things I'm looking into as well.

But the reality is that there are a lot of unique people in the construction industry, so it’s actually pretty tough, lol.

But still, how should I put it... People who are full of lies are really the worst.

I can't trust them; I can't build a relationship of trust with them.

This is a major problem when it comes to work.

And then, just to be trusted, they tell another lie.

The layers of lies are incredibly thick, lol.
