Breaking Down "Earth" and "Wood"
Civil Engineering Day is on the 11th and 18th.

Without really thinking about it, the roads and highways I drive on,
The subway and Shinkansen I ride without even thinking about it,
Riverbank protection, seawall protection, and so on.
All of them,This is the work of professional civil engineers and skilled tradespeople.
I don't really like the word "dokata," which is a term that's been used both in the past and today.
It kind of feels like they're making fun of me...
There are quite a few people who make fun of it by calling it "manual labor."
However, those people have forgotten that they cannot survive in a world without civil engineering.
How wonderful civil engineers and construction workers are...
I want to keep spreading the word!
It's the day after Civil Engineering Day, so I decided to talk about civil engineering lol
But that's beside the point.

With a rock like this, if you don't drill carefully, the surrounding rock will shift and cause problems.
Let's set that aside for now—we're going to pour concrete on top of this.
So, well, this is the situation.
This is bad, huh? lol
This is a basic rule: Organic matter must not be mixed into the concrete.
What Is Organic Matter?...things that living organisms produce and things that are produced by them.
For example, wood, grass, paper, cigarettes, and so on.
Even substances created artificially from organic matter are still organic.
What Are Inorganic Substances?...something that living organisms cannot produce.
These include plastic, stone, and iron.

To put it bluntly, anything that can rot...×
That's the point.
If there are organic materials in the concrete, they will rot and create holes in it.
The structure is tightly packed inside and forms a single unit.
Furthermore, if there are gaps, rust can form there and cause damage.
If stress is applied to that section, it may buckle.
Please be especially careful if there is a possibility that organic matter might get into the concrete.
