Going on an Overseas Business Trip as a Slope Engineer: Part 2 (Africa)

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

I've been in Africa for a few days now—has anyone here ever been to Africa?

Africa is insanely far away.

Africa

This time, my itinerary was Nagoya → Kansai International Airport → Dubai → Kenya → Mombasa

I took that flight to get here.

Nagoya to Kansai International Airport: 3 hours

Waiting for a flight at Kansai International Airport: 4 and a half hours

Kansai International Airport → Dubai: 11 hours

I'll be waiting about 5 hours for my next flight during my layover in Dubai.

Dubai to Nairobi (Kenya): 5 hours

Nairobi → Mombasa (Destination): 1 hour

Total: 29.5 hours + 1-hour delay = 30.5 hours

It's farther than I thought lol

After all, my butt hurts, lol.

Especially when you're sitting for a long time.

I knew from the start that I’d have some time, so I brought a mat to sit on lol

And a neck pillow for when I go to sleep.

This is a must, isn't it?

Since both are air-powered, they can be made quite small.

It's lightweight, compact, and quite useful.

A neck pillow is great for everyday use, too.

I booked a Premium Economy seat from Kansai International Airport to Dubai, and it was awesome lol

Premium Economy

Emirates' World-Class Premium Economy!

This is it!!

Isn't that amazing!!!

It reclines quite a bit when I sleep, and the legs fold up, so it's super comfortable!

Premium Economy

I don't know what kind of drink it is, but,

I'm nibbling on some Mix Nuts I bought in Japan while sipping on some juice lol

Since we left at 11:00 p.m., we had dinner sometime between then and around 1:00 a.m.

I'm supposed to be having dinner at Kansai Airport, but...

Anyway, that was my fourth meal of the day lol

Emirates Airlines: Dinner

As you'd expect from a flight departing from Japan, the food is insanely good lol

Plus, I drank three glasses of champagne and was totally wasted lol

After that, I watched a movie and drank some wine, and ended up falling asleep a little after 2:00 a.m.

Well, as usual, my back hurts and I keep waking up lol

I guess I ended up getting a little over three hours of sleep.

Long trips really are tiring, aren't they?

Personally, I don't really get jet lag, so it doesn't bother me.

Honestly, my back hurts and my butt hurts, lol.

That's because the cushion I bought went into my trunk, and I checked my luggage just like that...

You really are an idiot, lol.

I'll make sure not to make that kind of mistake on the way back, lol.

And so, we’ll be arriving in Dubai in the morning.

I wonder what's going to happen from here on out... lol

That's all for today.

See you later.
