But that's beside the point.
In March and May, we underwent the triennial audit for technical intern trainees.
There were all sorts of little issues here and there, but it all wrapped up without a hitch—though I did end up getting a corrective action notice over something pretty trivial, lol.
A corrective action that goes something like, “What? You’re not securing the lockable safe-like container used by the interns? Are you kidding me??”...
Well, I guess it's just the rule, so there's nothing to be done about it, but do Japanese people really secure those kinds of lockable items at home??
I guess it's a measure for foreigners living in a group setting, but it's just way too ridiculous lol
I hear these audits have become stricter recently, and they’re expected to become even stricter in the future.
Especially Nagoya lol
Apparently, Nagoya used to be pretty laid-back, but I hear things have suddenly gotten stricter starting this year.
On top of that, I heard they’re planning to conduct surprise audits, and some idiotic section chiefs at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare are all fired up about it lol.
I totally get that he's smart (he does well in school), but it seems he's telling me to go there without an appointment, completely out of touch with reality... (That's what I heard, and I'm just passing it on exactly as I heard it lol)
If you just show up unannounced, no one’s going to talk to you—the staff will turn you away at the door—but apparently they end up making an appointment for you anyway. It’s a huge waste of time, though.
Well, since it's a government job and comes from higher-ups, I guess there's nothing we can do about it...
That said, for the time being, there were no issues with the paperwork, and we even received praise for having the highest wages by far among the technical interns the auditor had reviewed.
So, I won't be back for another three years.
Honestly, when it comes to tax audits and other investigations and inspections like that, I’d actually like them to come by every year if possible.
That way, we can effectively correct the problematic areas.
It's because they come by occasionally that the amount of work needed to correct things increases.
I always find myself thinking, “It would really help if they came by regularly.”
It seems like they're doing a surprisingly good job, but they're actually not following the government agency's manual to the letter.
Since I really value the manual, I’d love it if you’d pop by every now and then to give me some tips, lol.
