Well, it's time to get back to work!
Well, today I’ll just take it easy and work at a leisurely pace this morning as a sort of warm-up, and then maybe I’ll pop over to a shrine or something?
It's kind of like a safety prayer ceremony.
We don't do that kind of prayer ritual.
Well, everyone has their own way of thinking, but personally, I share the view that illness stems from the mind.
Also, I don't like the idea that you'll get what's coming to you.
The reason is that God is generous.
I wouldn't punish someone for something so trivial! (Personal observation)
People who say "they got what they deserved" are the very ones who behave that way in the first place.
It’s not that they were punished; it’s simply a case of “what goes around comes around.” The problem lies solely in their actions to begin with.
As long as you act with sincerity, everything that happens will lead to your growth.
By the way, do you ever draw omikuji at shrines and temples?
That's one of the shrine's business activities, and since it involves purchasing goods, it's subject to tax.
In other words, it's just like buying candy at a candy store.
Of course, there are vendors who sell fortune slips, lol (just like what we call "suppliers").
Since donations are based on your generosity, they are tax-exempt, but some shrines do display a minimum amount...
When I ask, they usually say something like, “Most people pay about 10,000 yen on average. *serious face*” lol
You're better off not asking, lol (There's no right or wrong way to feel about it.)

During the New Year's holidays, people burn things like amulets and rakes as part of a ritual to properly honor them, right? (O-takiai)
I don't think there's anyone who actually watches all the way until it burns up.
I'm guessing this is probably what you're all picturing, isn't it?
It’s like the image of a monk chanting sutras in front of a fire, isn’t it?
Well, maybe some of the bigger shrines do that. (Not that I know, though.)
But in reality, this is what it's like.
They're just throwing them into a drum and burning them all at once lol (I've never seen anyone chanting sutras, though lol)
These days, bonfires are even banned at shrines in cities, so in urban areas, specialized waste-incineration companies may come to collect them. (Speculation)
In rural areas, I think they're almost always oil drums.
Since some shrines charge a fee for the purification ritual...
If I know too much about what it's like inside, I might not feel as eager to go... lol
It's important to be able to figure things out just from the surface without knowing the details, lol.
This year, I'm going to make an effort to be more perceptive.
