I ended up writing about my Vietnamese technical intern’s journey—which only lasted a few days—over the course of eight days lol
This is the perfect joke to tell when you're running out of material, lol.
That said, I’m writing this because I want everyone to understand more about Vietnam.
I don't know that much about it myself, though.
So, for those of you whose companies already have Vietnamese technical interns, how do you communicate with them outside of the workplace?
Since they don't have phone numbers, Internet-based phone services and the like are the most common options for them.
And there’s a social media app that Vietnamese people use a lot.
For Japanese people, it's LINE, right?
There’s an app called ZALO that almost all young people in Vietnam use. (Zalo)
Zalo has the same features as LINE. (Although it does have other features as well.)
Since this Zalo app supports both Vietnamese and English, you can use it easily as long as you have a basic understanding of English at the vocabulary level.
Plus, since you can enter text in Japanese, there's no problem.
You can use this app to talk with Vietnamese technical interns.
This allows us to communicate with them, and it helps them learn Japanese.
It's a great tool.
Adding friends can be done using a QR code, just like on LINE, so there's no problem at all.
In an emergency, you can make internet calls and send messages, so it's actually quite useful.
I recommend it.
