Actually, I'm heading off on a business trip to Nepal starting today!

It’s that time of year again for the annual interviews to hire technical interns and home visits to the selected candidates’ families.

Now that the COVID-19 pandemic is over, I’ve been back to work with renewed vigor, but,

Last year it was Vietnam, but this time it's Nepal!

 

From what I hear from those around me, the era of Vietnamese workers is coming to an end, and

It seems they are moving to Myanmar, Indonesia, and Nepal.

There's a reason for this.

It's money.

 

Vietnamese people are very strict and particular when it comes to money.

If there is an error in the attendance sheet due to some mix-up,

We’re getting a flood of inquiries through the union asking, “Whyyyy!!!”

Since I'm Japanese, I think this might be wrong, so please check it for me.

That's kind of how it is, but the Vietnamese are amazing.

We'll be able to fix it next month, so there won't be any problems, but it's just amazing.

I think this is something people at every company feel the same way about.

From the company's perspective, if there's a mistake, they can only correct it the following month, so,

I bet you're thinking, "You don't have to go that far..." lol

But on the other hand, if the company ended up overpaying, they just keep quiet, don't they? (I guess it's the same for Japanese people too?? lol)

 

Our company does its best to avoid mistakes, but they still happen.

I review and check it multiple times, and the administrative scrivener double-checks it as well.

Still, lol (though there might be some typos too)

It's okay to make mistakes, but the important thing is how you bounce back, right? ^^

 

That’s something you don’t really see in other countries.

Even if there are any, the criticism seems rather mild.

Is this difference due to national character??

Well, either way, it just goes to show that there's a tendency like that lol

It might be good to know that.

 

By the way, it seems that Japan is 3 hours and 15 minutes ahead of Nepal, and

It feels like going back just 3 hours and 15 minutes.

If it's just that much, I can get by without even noticing the time difference.

The flight is over 8 hours.

 

Also, there’s this talk about how few places actually tell you to wipe with toilet paper after you poop!?

Basically, it meant wiping it by hand using the water that was already there, lol.

It's pretty challenging, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'll write another blog post about the restroom situation there, too.

I'm also worried about what the situation will be like for updating my blog.

I'm planning to buy a local SIM card for now, but we'll see how it goes.

I'll be back to my regular schedule starting on the 26th.

You can do a lot of things as long as you have the internet, but please spare me the cost estimation and design work, lol.

We plan to do our best to provide quotes whenever possible.
