The other day, I was talking with someone from the trainee union, and they told me about the mindset of today’s trainees.

I say that because there seem to be a lot of people going missing lately, lol.

I guess that's just part of the national character, isn't it?

 

This isn't so much about getting tired of my internship work as it is about the mindset that sets in when I realize that the behind-the-scenes work is more efficient.

If you hear that jobs in Japan aren't worth the pay, or if you're approached with an offer from an underground syndicate promising higher earnings...

 

Vietnamese people

• I'll give it a try because, for now, I want to live in Japan.
• Trying a side job without anyone noticing (on weekends off, if you're in the construction industry)
• For now, I'll skip my current internship duties and work behind the scenes.
• If I want to go back to my home country, they'll let me go if I get caught.
• It's okay as long as someone can speak the language.

Nepalese

• There are few bad networks (apparently none so far).
• I don't want to do anything bad
• God...
• I just want to go back home.
• I want to live in Japan, so I'll do my best at work and with the language.
• If I'm going to do it, I'm going to go all the way! (Religious)

Is Myanmar in a state of civil war right now? Since I know that if I flee, I’ll get a visa right away, I’m applying for refugee status.

So, it seems like the number of Vietnamese and Myanmar nationals, in particular, is on the rise. (Disappeared)

 

I don't mean to be racist, but I feel like Vietnamese trainees are coming to places where they should be subject to restrictions.

Japanese people are way too kind.

That intern who's running away really looks down on Japanese people.

 

That said, the unlicensed operators who hire these runaway trainees are also at fault.

It seems there are a lot of jobs in the industrial waste sector. (I heard that the intern who left our company is now working for an industrial waste company...)

I'm sure the business that said that will play dumb, but you'd want to report them, right?

Or maybe offer a reward if someone reports them right after they're hired? (Set a trap to lure them in? lol)

 

That said, I really wish they would tighten up the requirements for visas and ID cards.

All of us legitimate operators are registered and managed by public systems like CCUS, right? lol

The technical interns who absconded are still at large.

What the heck is Immigration doing?

What the heck is the police doing?

Even if you think that, since they’re part of the Technical Intern Training Program, their stance is that they won’t work unless you keep a close eye on them.

 

The media reported on how technical interns were being bullied and subjected to workplace harassment, saying it was a sad situation, but,

The media doesn't touch on the fact that he fled and went into hiding, yet is working openly in Japan and swindling a lot of things from Japanese people.

Even social media users—such as X users—who had been making a fuss over the media coverage have gone quiet because that part isn’t being reported.

They make a huge fuss only about the parts that stand out (a sense of righteousness that involves lecturing people who have nothing to do with the matter on what’s right)

That's exactly what they mean by "can't see the forest for the trees," isn't it?

They're making fun of the trainees we've hired properly and who are working hard.

Almost all of them are companies that are well-managed and follow legal procedures properly.

 

I wonder if there’s anything we can do to address issues like this.

Let's keep reporting businesses that employ foreign nationals who have overstayed their visas, and

I hope they take strict measures, such as revoking their business license.

 

I always think that people who take their work seriously shouldn't be at a disadvantage because of things like this.

More foreigners will be coming to Japan in the future.

Most of them are probably good people. But how many of them are likely to commit a crime?

 

Thinking that, I decided to check the stats lol

According to the statistics, at most, nearly 10 percent of those entering Japan may be involved in criminal activity.

It's just a gut feeling, but I think the actual figure is probably around 5%.

 

It's easy to impose regulations, but the problem is that those regulations end up holding legitimate businesses back, doesn't it?

Why? Because those regulations make it harder for us to operate...

What on earth is this, anyway...

I guess that's what a lot of companies think, huh?

The world is becoming increasingly complex, with all sorts of things intertwined in all sorts of ways.

I guess you could call this “globalization,” huh...

I think a simpler—no, an even simpler—society would be easier to live in.
