Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
The other day, someone from Yokohama Rubber came by our place. (We sell hydraulic hoses.)
I'm originally from Gifu, and this person started telling me that Kagoshima and Gifu are connected in all sorts of ways! lol
I didn't know this either, but have you heard of the Satsuma Loyalists?
It is said that the Satsuma Domain carried out the flood control projects on the Three Rivers of Kiso!

They say everyone in Gifu who’s in their 40s or older knows about it.
Apparently, elementary school students used to go see that monument. (Back then)
So, he said that people in Gifu are taught that they have to be grateful to the people of Kagoshima, lol.
Hearing you say that makes me feel a little embarrassed, lol. Actually, I’m the one who’s grateful!
Well, I'm from Kagoshima too, but I didn't know that.
However, upon closer inspection, it seems there is also a monument to the Satsuma Loyalists in Kagoshima City...

Huh!?
Is this...
I graduated from Kagoshima Jitsugyo High School (which was located near Shiroyama back when I was there).
There was a flight of stone steps leading up to Shiroyama that we used for club training. (Since it was training, we’d sprint up the steps and time ourselves.)
This monument to the loyal samurai was right at the start of those stone steps!!
I didn't think much of it back then, but now I remember it vividly.
In a place like thisDots Turn into Lines!
I'm really surprised.
In my memories of the past, it’s moments like these that make me feel a connection with others and a sense of good fortune.
When I think, “Wow, even in a place like this, you end up connecting with the right people,” I just can’t bring myself to do anything bad!
If you do something bad, it will eventually lead somewhere. Both good and bad things eventually form a chain.
It was a moment when I realized how important it is to value my relationships with others.
See you later.
