Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
This is a repost ^^
The other day, an acquaintance told me that his hands had started to cramp up because of the heat.
So, I ran to the convenience store and looked at the salt candies and salt tablets.
As a result, I left without buying any salt tablets or anything like that.

First of all, do you know how much salt you should consume each day?
It is said to average about 10 grams.
This is simply the amount you'd consume while living a normal life.
"It is said that during a summer with an average temperature of 29 degrees, a person weighing 65 kg who is active indoors will sweat about 3 liters a day."
"I hear that if you work for 8 hours in a factory with high temperatures, you can sweat as much as 12 liters."(From the Internet)
Assuming the average salt concentration in sweat is 0.3%, multiply that by the amount of sweat mentioned above.
3,000 ml × 0.3% = 9 g
12,000 ml × 0.31 TP3T = 36 g
This is the amount of salt lost through sweat.
This is just a guess, but let's take a look at the salt content of salt tablets (including candies) based on these calculated upper and lower limits.
- Salt Replenishment Tablets (0.11 g)
- Salted Lemon (0.08 g)
- in tablet form (0.051 g)
- Rock Salt Tablet (0.04 g)
The average sodium content of the many salt tablet products on the market is around 0.06g! (I looked at a variety of others besides the ones mentioned above.)
If we assume that we construction workers lose between 9g and 36g of salt, that works out to eating between 150 and 600 salt tablets (including hard candies).
That said, if you’re getting a reasonable amount through your daily diet, you’re probably already consuming about 10 grams, so,
To be precise, subtract about -10g from the loss amount mentioned above, andAssuming a weight of approximately 0 to 26 grams...I'll have to lick 0 to 435 of them, lol

Looks like there's going to be a whole bunch of people chowing down on tablets right on the job site! lol
That said, it's not very realistic, is it?
So, as for how you should eat them, my recommendation is to always have cup ramen for lunch and drink every last drop of the broth.
You can get 4.8 grams of sodium from a cup of instant noodles. (Japan Instant Foods Manufacturers Association)
It's really hard to say, depending on how much I sweat and how hot it is each day, but I eat ramen every day!
I think this is probably the strongest one.
Salt tablets are totally useless, lol.
Well, some places do have them on site as a creative solution or safety measure, but to be honest, they're useless.
If you're going to put that there, please put this one here instead.

Since each pill weighs 0.35 g, I take 6 pills in the morning (0.35 × 6 = 2.1 g), and I can get 6.9 g from ramen for lunch.
That said, since these Tab Salt tablets are just little chunks of salt, they’re small, but they’re hard to swallow lol.
It's a matter of personal taste.
I hate it lol
But it does have great performance, doesn't it?
If someone at the job site shows signs of heatstroke and comes into the site office, give them about 10 of these Tab Salt tablets with barley tea—that should help them calm down quite a bit.
Now, please cool down.
You might think you should be getting more, but since it’s really hard to consume any more than this, it should be fine to have a bit more salt in your daily diet.
However, since minerals are also important, barley tea is the go-to choice for on-site hydration!
Drinks like Pocari have too much sugar, so they're no good.
Drink barley tea to get your minerals!
As I mentioned at the beginning, I ended up buying some regular table salt and barley tea at the convenience store.
Then I made him lick a bunch of salt and wash it down with barley tea—I made him do that a few times lol
Since it was still mild, I recovered in about an hour, but if it had happened later, it could have been serious.
I'm used to my own heatstroke symptoms, so whenever I feel like things are getting a little dicey, I hop in the car, crank the AC, and chug barley tea and Tab Salt.
So I was back on my feet in about 30 minutes. I’m actually pretty good at handling heat, lol.
It varies from person to person, but I recommend having either plain salt or something like the Tab Salt mentioned above on hand at the worksite.
The worst-case scenario is nibbling on the salt pile!? lol
And let's eat ramen every day!
If possible, eat three 3mm-thick slices of takuan at the same time; since the salt equivalent for three slices is 0.32g, eating nine slices will amount to just under 1g.
Wouldn't it be funny if the company handed out cup noodles as a heatstroke prevention measure??
Rock salt or something like Chablis, lol
Whoa! While munching on takuan...
See you later.

I’ve had times when I brought pickled plums to prevent heatstroke, but since slope workers hang from ropes while they work—and since “returning the plum pits to the earth” isn’t really a thing these days—I ended up putting salty dried squid in a plastic bag and working while hanging from the rope. As long as the dried squid was just the right size, it wasn’t a hassle, and it went over well. Though there might have been some people who felt like having a drink starting in the afternoon...
