Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.

If anything, air-conditioned workwear is more popular in the architectural industry than in the construction industry.
You guys wear them pretty often, don't you?
Do you know what an ordinary person who doesn't know about this would think?
I thought, “Oh, I see,” too, but,
A device that makes a bicycle accelerate?
Apparently, that's what people think lol
But that's beside the point.
Do you have any goals for the job site?
It’s something people often say—don’t they tell you to set goals?
When we slope contractors (public works contractors) set a goal, the first thing that comes to mind is the construction schedule, right?
The director knows the construction schedule and the workflow.
So, what about artisans?
Do even the lowest-ranking workers keep the project schedule in mind?
In fact, even our company doesn't have any craftsmen who are that knowledgeable.
Is it only foremen who have clear goals about what needs to be done and by when?
Depending on the situation, even the foreman might not know.
Do I really need to spell it out?
There are often directors who talk about their schedules in a very exaggerated way.
This won't work.
The sooner we start, the shorter the construction period will be, and the more profit the company will make.
However,Employee dissatisfaction and fatigue will also increase.
If things continue like this, nothing will come of it in the future.
Employee morale will continue to decline, and the likelihood of employees leaving the company will increase.
Even if there are times when things get busy on-site, it’s probably fine as long as it’s just there—but if you’re constantly under pressure, it takes a toll on you mentally.

So, why is it better to clearly state your goals? Well,
When people are under pressure, they panic and make mistakes, which can lead to accidents.
There's a good chance I'll get tired and stop halfway through.
It really wears me out.
However, when I take the initiative to pursue a goal, I’m able to stay motivated until I reach it.
Don't you find yourself thinking, "I'm almost there!"?
As that motivation builds, your efficiency will keep increasing.
It's just like riding a bike in a climate-controlled suit—you just keep picking up speed! (Well, not really, lol.)
When clearly defined, goals become a source of strength.
The Pitfalls of Goal Setting
VeryUnrealistic SettingIf I do that, I’ll lose my motivation before I even start.
When you think something is absolutely impossible, it’s really hard to get motivated, isn’t it?
This is just terrible!
Director, from the company's perspective, we'd like to keep raising it, but that's not really possible.
Setting Goals Compared to Other CompaniesThat's not good either.
"Since it was like that at that company, you guys can do that too, right?"
And that, in turn, hurts the craftsman's pride.
Don't you think it actually makes you angry when people compare you to others?
Setting Goals the Right Way
I'll write about that in Part 2 lol
See you later.
