I’ve been in Kagoshima for a few days now, and it really is kind of cool here.
It makes it easy to work.
The Tokai region really is hell, lol.
On my way home, I also stopped by the family grave for the first time in a while.
I’ve been visiting the gravesite quite often lately because I’ve had a few odd jobs in Kagoshima, but,
There's something different about the Obon season, isn't there?
I'm not really a very religious person myself.
He's a true non-religious person.
Still, whenever I hear the bells ringing during Obon or on New Year’s Eve, I’ve started to feel kind of grateful, lol.
I've started to feel grateful toward my ancestors.
People often say that’s a sign you’re getting old, lol.
That's actually true, but...
But that's beside the point.
On my way back from the job site, I came across a place called the Mansei Special Attack Peace Memorial Museum, so I stopped by.
The Chiran Tokko Peace Museum in Kagoshima is famous, but is this one less well-known?
I’d been wanting to visit this place after the Chiran Tokko Peace Museum, so I’m especially happy.
What's more, since it was right around the time the war ended, we were able to tour the museum for free.

On the first floor, there was a Zero fighter plane on display that had been recovered from the ocean.
People might wonder, "Are they recreating the ocean?"
Since photography was allowed on the first floor, I snapped away.
The white area in the aerial photo looks like a runway.
The one in the photo is the actual military uniform that was worn, isn't it?
The second floor featured exhibits such as wills and photographs of the deceased, and since photography was not permitted, there are no photos.
In particular, there was a blood seal here, and the deceased’s resolve to carry out a suicide mission was written there.
Since it was written in blood, it did feel very graphic.

Even now, as I go about my work, I still find myself worrying or getting discouraged whenever various problems come up.
It seems I'm still not quite ready for this.
I want to approach my work with a sense of mission and a firm resolve!
My mission is to improve the slope stabilization industry by developing construction methods and construction techniques, and by providing construction management services!!
I got to see a lot of great things this time.
It was a short business trip, but I was able to visit other companies' sites, and
I also had the opportunity to observe the construction management process.

I did find myself thinking, just a little bit, that being a site representative for the general contractor might actually be nice once in a while lol.
