Tips for When Rebar Just Won't Go In During Rebar Installation

I finally finished the suspended drilling job the other day.

So, that’s why I’m in Kagoshima today!

The reason is that a supervisor from a slope construction company called me, and I came here to do *that*!!

I'll be heading back on the 11th, lol


But that's beside the point.

When inserting rebar using single-hole drilling methods, such as suspended drilling, there are times when the rebar just won’t go in, right?

Here's what to do in such situations.

That said, in places where the hole walls keep collapsing no matter how many times you drill, it’s just a drop in the bucket, lol.

 

First, if we think about why it won’t fit, the obvious answer is that the hole’s walls will collapse!

So why does it collapse? That’s right! It’s because the design is bad!! lol

But there's no point in saying that, and,Design isn't all-purpose.That's right.

The soil in the key areas had a solid N-value, so the mountain was supposed to be self-supporting. (According to the design)

However, contrary to expectations, there are many parts where that isn't the case, so you can't see into the mountains.

Since the construction team is the only one who can handle this, let's go ahead and do it.

 

First of all, how much of it doesn't fit? Does almost none of it fit, or just a part of it?

Is it just the beginning and the very end?

 

As a simple method, drill a hole once to the specified length and in the specified direction.

After that,Drill the hole while shifting it horizontally or vertically by about the width of one bit.I will.

Also, drilling slowly causes the hole to widen, making it even slightly easier to insert the object.

The most time-consuming part is forcing rebar into places where it doesn't fit.

Even if it takes a little longer, it’s easier on both your energy and your time to just drill a hole.

Just putting in the rebar is exhausting, lol.

It's more efficient to thoroughly clean the inside of the holes as well.

 

Even this might not fit in some cases!

So, what should we do about that? Is there any other option?
