Run and You'll Be Chased | A Slope Engineer's On-Site Philosophy

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Sheet Pile

It turned out we had to take the basic exam on short notice, lol.

The reason is that a geological survey had already been conducted, so we had planned to use that data to install the ground anchors.

But then, due to land use restrictions, we received instructions not to install ground anchors on private property, so things suddenly took a turn like that...

Oh no... Oh nooooooo...

I have two sets of documents from other projects, and I'm planning to submit those sometime next week, lol.

But they want to submit the plan for the basic test this week and conduct the test installation by next weekend!!?

Well, I do think I’ll manage somehow, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a tough 10 days.

I’m usually completely exhausted before a long weekend, but our employees are heading straight to the job site without a break. (Though they’re scheduled to take time off after the job is done.)

Well, given the current situation with COVID-19, I do think it would be better to take time off once things have settled down a bit.

Documents

I don't have much to write about on my blog, so I should really head out to the site, but I'm going to stay in and finish up all these paperwork at once!

You guys shouldn't let your paperwork pile up either, right? lol

This is just my personal opinion, but,"If you run away, you'll be chased. If you chase, you'll eventually overtake them."

That's what I'm thinking.

This is true of anything, really—if you run away, you’ll inevitably feel like you’re being chased, and that makes you lose your nerve.

However, if you keep chasing, you’ll eventually get ahead of where you were when you started chasing, so you’ll be able to pass them.

It leads to personal growth and builds confidence.

Since I’ve been avoiding paperwork lately, it’s turned into a situation where the paperwork is chasing me.

And just to make matters worse, the paperwork arrived. It's enough to make me cry lol.

If you run away, you'll be chased!

It’s important to keep at it day by day—without giving up or relying on others.

I should know this all too well, but the moment I let my guard down, this is what happens lol.

See you later.
