I really dislike people who try to shirk responsibility.
What does it actually mean to take responsibility?
That's what I've heard.
But what happens when it comes to taking responsibility at work or on the job?
It's highly unlikely that you'll be fired or have your salary cut. (Depending on the extent of the damage, of course.)
As for what would happen to me, I’d probably just get a really stern scolding. (Probably.)
Everyone has their own way of taking responsibility, but if you're a company employee, it's usually not that big of a deal.
If this were a politician, they’d probably have to resign or something like that.

Well, in a way, it's probably great for people who are total masochists... lol
You're overreacting to the vague term "responsibility." (It would be different if you were confident enough to decide for yourself how to take responsibility.)
But it’s nonsense to say you’ll take responsibility for everything when you don’t have the ability to do so!
And if you recover from it afterward, you won't get blamed all that much.
If we can recover and limit the damage even a little, that's fine as long as it works.
It's not a risk.
The important thing is to bounce back.That's it.
There's this senior who blames everything on the juniors.
Suppose you tell a junior colleague to do something, and then that colleague doesn't do it well and gets scolded by their boss.
So that senior, who was trying to shirk responsibility, gave his junior a stern talking-to, saying, “That guy’s no good!”
It's part of a senior's job to train their juniors.
A junior's failure is a senior's failure to provide proper guidance.
They shift the blame onto their junior colleagues and act as if they're not at fault.
"It was my mistake in raising him." That's what someone who takes responsibility would say.

You'll end up being the kind of person who does everything half-heartedly and takes it out on others.

If you take on more and more work without fearing risk and with the mindset that you might be held accountable, you’ll keep growing.
If you approach things with the mindset of “I’ll take full responsibility for everything!”, you can grow as much as you want. And you’ll be able to give it your all.
And I really like people like that!
