The first thing I taught them was self-defense.

Once you enter the workforce, by the time you're around 25, lots of shady adults will try to take advantage of you young folks! lol

Young people don't know much about society.

Before you know it, they've tricked you into buying something expensive, recruited you into a network marketing scheme, or sold you study materials for a certification.

Multi-level marketing schemes are really something, aren't they?

They target young people who know nothing and recruit them by talking about dreams—dreams that even the young people themselves don’t know about—as if anyone could achieve them.

Well, in a way, I suppose it’s a kind of religion, but it’s a scary thing.

We had plenty of those moments when we were young, didn't we?

I got bombarded with sales pitches, and I even went to a seminar just out of curiosity lol

Come to think of it, there aren't many people who've succeeded that way, are there?

Do you know anyone around you who’s incredibly successful?

Plus, I don't even know if it's true or not, lol.

In any case, there are bad adults out there preying on young kids, so we really need to be careful, don't we?

There’s also a scam where young people who have already been deceived by unscrupulous adults try to lure others in, so please be very careful.

If someone in a network marketing business who makes 100 million yen a year were to appear,

I told them to submit their withholding tax forms, financial statements, and resident tax payment certificates so I could verify them.

It's mostly just lies that sound like the truth, after all.

I also told them to contact the company if they had any questions, encountered any problems, or were approached by someone making a suspicious sales pitch.

I told them that I would provide them with appropriate options, and that it was up to them to choose one.

You can look it up online, but that’s not the whole truth.

Since the harsh realities of society aren't limited to the workplace, I'd like to teach them about those things as well.
