Last Saturday night, I went to see a New Japan Pro-Wrestling match at the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium lol

I'm actually part of the New Japan generation!

By the time I was old enough to remember things in elementary school, Baba and Inoki were still active and fighting in the ring.

My late grandmother loved it too, and I think that’s why I came to like it.

I seem to recall that back then, it used to air on Saturday evenings in Kagoshima, Kyushu.

 

I think a lot of people don't know this, but pro wrestling is actually really fun.

You'll definitely get hooked, especially if you see it live on-site.

Especially men!

Pro wrestling may look like a combat sport, but it actually has a well-developed script and storyline.

They express that through flashy staging, the sound of bodies colliding, and voices.

In a way, it’s like a scenario where I grew up right in the middle of my “middle school syndrome” phase as a kid and have just been prolonging that phase into adulthood, lol.

That's why men get hooked!

There's fighting, friendship, betrayal, and then they come together again.

You don't come across entertainment this fun very often! lol

 

And while there are violent elements, the technique is actually designed to produce a sound similar to a kick—using a striking method that generates as loud a sound as possible while minimizing pain as much as possible.

New wrestlers aren't very good at that, so that's part of the fun, lol.

And since they train to avoid injuries as much as possible, you can watch them with peace of mind.

You don't see any pro wrestlers with their faces all bruised and battered, do you?

There aren't any bruises on your body at all, are there?

And especially lately, he has a huge following among female fans!

A toned, handsome body and a sweet face! There are so many good-looking wrestlers these days.

There are so many women that I wonder if they make up about half the audience.

 

Although the number of pro wrestling fans has increased compared to a while back, it still can't compare to its heyday.

As a fan myself, I’d love to help make pro wrestling even more exciting, lol.

 

What's so funny is that grown adults are taking this cheesy script completely seriously.

We in the construction industry are facing a severe labor shortage.

I get the feeling it's not just about the salary or job satisfaction.

Are we really taking this seriously?

From a young person’s perspective, the construction industry looks like fun! It’s great to build things! They seem to be having fun at work, don’t they!?

Is that what people think?

And do we actually want to make this an attractive industry?

Pro wrestling organizations, at the very least, are working hard on various initiatives to increase their fan base.

What about us in the construction industry?

Are you giving up just because it's a "3K" job?

Even though working conditions have improved dramatically compared to the past, isn’t the labor shortage perhaps due to our own negligence as industry professionals?

That's what I've been thinking lately.

 

It seems to me there’s more we can do. We need to make more of an effort to convey our appeal.

I think that if we can put this into practice, even just a little at a time, people will start returning to this industry.

At this point, I don't know what I should do.

But I’d like to make this an industry that attracts young people.

It's not just about the salary. People who were lured here by money will leave for money!

 

I want to attract young people by showcasing the appeal of the construction industry and make it an even better industry.
