Pressure Injection is Optional | Grouting Services

Do you have any standards for applying pressure in ground anchor construction? (Just for yourself?)

Injection Status

Roughly speaking, what level of pressure do you think is ideal for grouting?

Basically, a pressure of around 0.2 MPa is sufficient, but even if you were to increase the pressure beyond that, it wouldn't make any difference.

 

It is known that when pressure is applied, the resulting material—known as pressure-treated concrete—exhibits increased strength.

However, in this ground anchor method, the purpose of applying pressure is to exert force on the surrounding natural ground and cause the anchor to penetrate it.

In the case of pressure-cured concrete, it must be allowed to cure while the pressure is maintained; therefore, once the load is removed, it is no longer considered pressure-cured concrete.

That said, in the case of ground anchors, since they are driven downward, the weight of the cement itself does exert a certain amount of pressure.

Therefore, it is believed that the grout density has increased in the areas where the same effect as pressurization has been achieved.

Pressurization Status

We apply pressure there as well, but if it escapes from the side of the casing before reaching 0.2 MPa, the test is over regardless.

To put it bluntly,It's fine even if no pressure is applied.That's the point.

Just because there’s no pressure doesn’t mean the anchor itself will come loose or fail to hold. That’s a separate issue.

The fact that it can't be pressurized isn't due to any installation error or anything like that.

It seems that some inspectors view this as a problem if no pressure is applied, but that isInsufficient Explanation by the ContractorThat's it.

 

Based on my experience, there were plenty of mountains where I couldn't apply pressure.

It has never once happened that the air leaked out because I couldn't inflate it.

In a sense,Pressurization is optionalThat aspect is quite strong.

In some cases, pressurization is possible, while in others, it is not possible at all.

You can just tell the government office that. But if you absolutely want to apply pressure, your only option is to switch to an all-packer system.

 

You don't need to place that much importance on pressure.

Please think of this as one of the options available during the construction process.

Also, please don't expect too much from the pressure.

It's kind of silly to get your hopes up about something that might or might not happen, isn't it?
