I bought a camera that works with the digital whiteboard.

Well, it was a few weeks ago.

The reason is that I wanted a digital whiteboard feature on a regular camera for on-site use, rather than on a smartphone.

So, after doing some research, I came across this product.

Well, it's a top-of-the-line model among site supervisor cameras.

It's a top-of-the-line camera, too!

And it says it's compatible with electronic whiteboards.

Well, as for the result of buying it...

You can't use the electronic whiteboard all the time!

Basically, the idea is to edit using designated software—specifically, to edit the material in advance and then call it up and use it in the editing suite.

That means it can't be used for unexpected situations.

I really came to appreciate just how excellent the smartphone-style electronic whiteboard is—the one that lets you enter text and post journal entries right on the spot at the worksite...

And what I dislike the most is that the digital whiteboard is edited using a third-party software for electronic submission, not RICOH's proprietary software!

A camera that costs around 80,000 yen—and these days they’re making you buy separate software too... lol. I’m just speechless. lol

People these days probably think, “Why not at least let us edit the photos in a smartphone app and then transfer them to the camera so we can use them?”

This camera was a huge letdown, but since the camera itself works fine, I’ll keep using it—though I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

For now, this is a camera you absolutely must not buy.

It's a waste of money. You could buy two cheap cameras that support electronic filing, lol.

If a smartphone app were released for this and it included a feature to transfer photos directly to the phone, it would definitely be a camera I’d highly recommend.

I'm looking forward to seeing what RICOH does next lol
