I never thought I'd still be getting offers like this even as a middle-aged guy!!

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Drainage Rock Bolt Construction

Thank you for applying to attend the briefing session on drainage rock bolts.

From this point on, based on a rigorous screening process, I will use my own judgment to decide which companies will be invited and which will not.

I'm truly sorry if you weren't selected.

Please note that these settings are based on certain criteria.

Thank you in advance.

But that's beside the point.

The other day, something really surprised me for the first time in a while lol

Network Marketing

As you can see from this diagram, that's right.

I got recruited into a network marketing scheme lol

An acquaintance I hadn't seen in a while suggested we meet up, so I went to Nagoya Station the other day.

It had been about four years since I last saw him, but he looked just the same—still that laid-back sort of guy.

Well, it hasn't really changed that much from before.

After listening to a folktale for about an hour, the main event began!

Well, these are the kinds of things you often hear people in network marketing say.

"Magic Words That Resonate with People Who Want Money"

・Passive income

・Royalty Income

・Next Phase

・A small investment

・A business started by someone incredibly wealthy

・What should you do if you can't move?

・Final Call for Applications

・Learning About Money

・Free at first

・Just between us

・I can't really say this out loud

・The world's a tough place, isn't it?

・A Slightly Better Life

・Start with just a little pocket money

・Whether you believe it or not is up to you.

・Time is limited

And so on, is what they say.

I used to think that this kind of network marketing business targeted young people who didn't know anything about it.

Who would've thought an offer like that would come to a guy in his late 40s!!!

Maybe it just looked that way because I always wear work clothes and safety shoes anyway, lol.

I was just thinking I should maybe pay a little more attention to my appearance, lol.

Surprise!

I think I used to listen to it with great interest back in the day, too. (I didn't have any money, lol.)

When you run a business, you run into all kinds of problems, don't you?

Or maybe business doesn't go well, or the company runs a deficit, or a disaster strikes.

There's no way you can make money that easily in network marketing, right?

People who say things like this claim you can make money easily lol

But in reality, I’ve never seen a single person who’s actually succeeded in network marketing.

I can say with 100% certainty that business isn't that easy.

It's just not possible for an amateur to sell stuff, attract a crowd, and succeed, is it?

That said, they're being fed these weird dreams and won't listen to a word I say lol

To be able to churn out people like this—in a way, that’s quite an impressive talent for persuasion, isn’t it?

And what people who have bought that product often say is

"The products are really good, aren't they?" That's right.

This is also a psychological issue, but,

I don't want to be deceived; I haven't been deceived. That's what I'd like to think.

That's why, when I talk to people, I tell them, "The product is great."

It also appears in this blogNormalcy BiasThat's the one, huh? lol

The older you get, the more likely you are to convince yourself that you won't get into an accident!

By understanding your risk sensitivity and risk-taking tendencies, you can become aware of your own tendencies

Bias

As for the actual product, I'd say it's probably just average—neither great nor bad.

This is because the average person has no way to compare and verify it.

That's all the more reason.

However, Japanese companies are continuously releasing affordable, high-quality products thanks to their outstanding corporate efforts.

You hardly ever see the products circulating in that network marketing scene in real life—they’re the kind of products that only “members”? rave about.

Products made by Japanese companies are highly regarded and sold all over the world, aren't they?

I don't think there's really much difference between network marketing products—like cosmetics, supplements, electronics, and all sorts of other things—and inexpensive products made in Japan, lol.

Since this company is a telecommunications provider, it also sells SIM cards...

I want to be compensated for the work I actually do, so I don't want any unearned income at all.

I know someone who makes a living off real estate worth over 100 million yen in total.

That's pure passive income, isn't it?

However, upon further inquiry, I learned that they had taken out a loan from a bank to purchase the property, so,

After deducting various expenses—such as the loan, property management fees, repairs, advertising, and so on—the actual amount you receive is less than 10 million.

Even after working so hard and taking on all that risk, this is the reality.

The idea of passive income from a network marketing business is just laughable, isn't it?

Real Estate

But young people actually fall for this, don't they?

With a silver tongue.

Even though the Internet is so widespread.

I really do think the power of face-to-face communication is amazing.

I think it's fine if you want to do it, but what you stand to lose by getting involved in network marketing is your credibility.

One by one, my acquaintances, friends, and relatives are drifting away from me.

I've already been labeled as a suspicious guy, lol.

Network Marketing

As I wrote in a recent article, when you're young, it's better to go all out, work hard, and really push yourself!

Let's do civil engineering!!

The more you take it easy when you're young, the harder life will be as you get older.

Most people in network marketing aren't doing very well; they're just being milked by their uplines, so they just keep getting more and more worn out lol.

My advice is that even if you start learning a skill at age 50, you’ll be just fine even when you turn 60 or 70!

If it were that easy to just get by at work, everyone in the world would be doing just fine.

There really isn't any difference in poverty, is there?

If I'm going to get involved in some silly money-making scheme,

I hope they’ll quietly and steadily hone their skills. That's right.

Want to tackle the slope, then?

Let's tackle that slope!!

Let's do civil engineering!!

Please be careful, everyone.

I found myself thinking, “I want my time back—the time I spent going there at odd hours just because I’d set a specific time to be there.”

See you later.
