This is Enta.

The other day, a part in the engine oil system of our old rotary percussion machine broke.

Oil Line

Engine oil circulates through this pipe.

It broke due to age-related wear and vibration, and oil was spurting out inside the engine lol.

 

So, when I asked the manufacturer for a quote, it came to 45,000 yen!!!!

"Wait, wait," you say—so, of course, I made it myself.

Panjo Fitting

The part secured with this nut is called a panjo fitting.

There is a hole inside.

6 mm stainless steel (SUS) pipe and a dedicated pipe bender

For starters, the cost of materials and tools came to over 7,000 yen.

Bend it while keeping its position and angle in mind to some extent.

This is easy, lol.

I bent it roughly.

First, we'll restore the original broken part and adjust the angle.

Brazing Flux

First, install a panjo fitting to secure one end.

Apply flux and perform brazing.

This involves pouring solder into the gap between the panjo fitting and the pipe.

If you don't do this, the oil will leak lol

Brazing completes the process.

Now all that's left is to install it and make slight adjustments to the bend.

It's a small thing, but if you have the resources, it's a little more cost-effective to make it in-house lol.

Well, I guess that just means I have a lot of free time, lol.
