Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
We have been drilling a well in Iwakura City for the past few days.

We are drilling a hole with a diameter of 135 using a Spring Drill 40Ⅲ.
I was drilling 11-meter holes, but each one took about half a day to drill, lol.
So, since it was a bit of a hassle, I added a crawler.
What's more, this drilling project is entirely volunteer-based.
This is the well I often mention for disaster preparedness.

It was actually supposed to be finished by Friday, but due to a few setbacks, it looks like it will be next Tuesday and Wednesday instead.
The installation site is Kita Elementary School in Iwakura City, Aichi Prefecture.
This well-digging project is being carried out for Iwakura City as part of volunteer activities organized by the Youth Division of the Iwakura City Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
There's a reason for this: if we were to go it alone, the construction industry association would have to deal with the city... (Apparently, there are all sorts of issues, lol)
So, I got the organization I used to belong to to get involved, lol.
We’ve been asking to do this for the past 10 years, so it’s about time.
I'm absolutely thrilled that this means the first disaster-preparedness well will finally be officially installed.
I don't know what will happen from here on out, but,
I believe that if we can continue to carry out activities like these, we’ll be able to help more people—even just in the area where I live—and,
We hope to expand this initiative to other regions as well.
With recent indications of a possible Nankai Trough earthquake, everyone is on high alert right now, isn't that right?
I’d like to get everything ready that I can before then.
Please be careful, everyone.
If you're taking time off for Obon, please enjoy some rest and leisure activities.
See you later.
