Today is a substitute holiday for Mountain Day.

For some reason, today is a day full of meetings lol

And it's a major company, lol

So, in the end, there are quite a few people who are being sacrificed in the name of work-style reform.

How about your company?

In fact, profitability has been declining.

Work isn't getting done, deadlines are being pushed back, but they're telling us to take time off...

There's just nothing we can do about it, is there?

Given the circumstances, since I was called in for a meeting, I guess they probably haven't told the company yet.

Especially managers at big companies—they get pressured from above, told by customers to “just fix it!”—and their subordinates are just saying they want a break, lol.

A manager I know has been having trouble sleeping lately, so I hear he's been taking some strong sleeping pills.

These really are tough times.

But overseas, it’s not like that at all—if you want to do it, go ahead; if you don’t, that’s fine too.

A system in which they said this would be reflected in one's salary.

In Japan, everyone has to march in lockstep... (It's just the height of stupidity.)

It's because we're doing things like this that we're losing our competitiveness and influence on the world stage.

I guess I'll just have to put up with whatever they say and do to me.

Is it the politicians' fault, or is it the bureaucrats' fault...

We at the bottom have no way of knowing, but even so, we have no choice but to compete within that group, don't we?

I want to keep doing my very best, no matter what.

I’d like to do work that allows me to compete effectively with the big players, even if it’s just in certain areas ^^

It looks like I'll be glued to 3D CAD during the Obon holiday. (It's part of my struggle, lol.)
