We've decided to develop cost accounting software specifically for slope projects.

Cost accounting varies from company to company, doesn't it? lol

That said, since we’re slope engineers, it’s something we’re somewhat familiar with, so people in the industry would generally understand.

 

But how much profit is each employee actually making from this?

At this stage of the project, you don't know how much of a loss you're running—or if you're actually making a profit—do you?

So, we decided to develop cost-accounting software specifically for slope construction companies!

In a way that requires as little effort as possible

To be honest, I hate doing this too, lol.

It's a real pain, but isn't it an important job?

I'm making this software just to make my own life easier! lol

 

My thoughts on creating this are as follows:

Budget Department

1. Once you enter the area for work such as spray-applied concrete within the legal framework, as well as the quantities for rebar insertion and anchor installation, the system immediately calculates the material costs.

2. Enter the number of people and the unit price per person, then enter the daily work volume to calculate the unit price for each type of work.

3. Calculating the final budgeted cost by aggregating the costs of each trade

4. The basics are the cost estimation items

5. Setting the loss rate based on individual circumstances and on-site conditions

6. The unit price of materials is determined in the settings.

7. A feature to order materials or send quotes to designated suppliers (Should we ask the suppliers to cooperate on this?)

Quotation Department

1. Preparing a cost estimate based on the cost estimation standards

2. You can view the budget

3. Miscellaneous expenses and statutory welfare costs are calculated based on the number of employees in the budget and included (with a surcharge).

4. Display and print a list showing the project name, general contractor, project location, and project cost

5. Items not included in the estimate must be entered manually.

6. Printing, PDF Conversion, and Digital Signatures

Front Section

1. Who did what at which site?

2. The types of work performed each day are managed using a unified numbering system.

3. Track labor rates, progress, and work completed by work category based on the number of workers per category and the set unit rates

4. Preparing Construction Workers' Retirement Fund invoices for each job site

5. Each Employee's Number of Workdays and Overtime Hours

Cost Management Department

1. Allocate the items on the monthly invoice and enter the final cost

2. Breakdown by account category (e.g., labor costs, equipment costs, transportation costs, etc.)

3. Comparison of the Estimate and the Budget

4. Do not include management of deposits and withdrawals

5. Reimbursement and entry of receipts (Should I enter them manually?)

We're working toward having it ready for use by next May, roughly along these lines.

Since this software is basically designed exclusively for slope contractors, I don't think anyone other than slope contractors can use it.

I think it’s incredibly convenient, especially when it comes to the budget section, since you can easily adjust the quantities.

 

People sometimes say, “If you do this, won’t the quantity go through the roof?” but,

These days, nobody does everything by hand anymore, right?

I think it would be easier and better if they just entered the quantities and printed everything out, you know~

I wonder if this is no longer something humans would even consider.

 

We want to use Construction DX to streamline budgeting and estimating so we can ensure solid profits, right?

By the way, by aggregating the unit prices of the input data,

I’m thinking, “If we could come up with average unit prices for each region, wouldn’t that make it impossible not to raise our prices?” lol

Well, I know this might not sit well with general contractors and major companies, but it's about time they let us subcontractors make a profit, too ^^

 

I think it would be really interesting if there were a dedicated, standardized system that calculated national and prefectural average unit prices~

"Like, 'The average unit price for □300-frame construction in this area = 9,231 yen,' lol"
