I'm working on an anchor installation project, and at that job site, they were using the bolt scale in a new way—or at least, that's how it seemed to me.
We're correcting for positioning errors before drilling, but,
At that point, place the bolt scale as shown in the photo, align it with the string using a square, and measure the displacement.
This casing is designed for φ90. It’s probably just barely within the inner diameter of the bolt scale.
It probably won't work with a φ115.
But wait! Actually, there is a □300 size in the Bolt Scale series.
It measures 300 mm in both width and height, and the circle has a diameter of 200 mm.
Since there are no protrusions, the casing fits easily. (The color is not black.)
The item is actually quite a bit bigger than I expected, but,
If it's used as an anchor, it seems like it would be quite user-friendly.
In addition, since it can also be used with standard rebar insertion tools and rock bolts, please consider this option if you prefer a larger size.
When people use it in ways I hadn't even thought of, I find myself thinking, "Oh, I see!"
People have all kinds of ideas. The best approach is to use it in a way that works best for you.
