The other day, I went to Izumi (Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture) to run some errands.
We've finished all the work on-site for this fiscal year, so this is the time for machine overhauls.
If you do this once a year, the spray gun will work with virtually no breakdowns.
Since mortar can get into small bearings and other parts, replacing them will help the shaft last longer.
Surprisingly, the shaft rotation assembly doesn't use any special parts—most of them are off-the-shelf components—which is a big help.
As for the other interior liners and such, since they’re being replaced, we’ll apply rust inhibitor before replacing them.
The welded areas are protected with duct tape.
Doing this will help reduce rust on the parts exposed to water, even if only slightly.
It's a small thing, but it's important for making it last longer.
Some people might think, “Just use it until it breaks, then buy a new one!” but we’re not that kind of company, lol.
I'll take good care of it.
I understand that spending time repairing machinery is a waste, but I still want to do my job with a sense of attachment to the machines.
A style where you fix things when they break and keep working.
We keep spare parts on hand so we can respond immediately if anything goes wrong, but even so, we want to use our equipment with care every day.
Since I’ve made sure to thoroughly instruct our Vietnamese staff on this, we always use a pressure washer to clean it.
There are pros and cons to this as well, but (since there are some sites where we don't want water to splash around), I want to wash it as much as possible.
At major construction sites, when machinery is provided, it’s often in terrible condition.
As expected, that's what happens when a team that doesn't have its own equipment uses it.

Machinery is a company asset.
And it's a tool for making money.
You can't make a profit if you ignore that.
Machines act as our own hands and feet and do the work for us.
By using it carefully and keeping it for a long time, your profits will gradually increase.
Even if there are repair and parts costs, the total cost will be significantly lower.

After all, people have always said that those who take good care of their machines and tools do good work!
However, people who steal other people's tools or machinery can't do a good job.
With people like that, you either cut them off early on, stop having anything to do with them, or call the police, lol.
