I used to think, “Being on the management side must be a piece of cake! (Back when I was a salaryman).”
It's actually harder than I thought, lol.
All sorts of things happen at the same time.
When I was a salaryman, my life revolved only around my job and my family.
The moment you step into a management role, all sorts of things happen—regardless of your strengths and weaknesses.
From moments when I wonder, “Is this some kind of revelation?” to the consequences of the life I’ve lived so far.
That makes me truly realize what it means to be alive.
I'm really grateful, lol.
But that's beside the point.
The installation of the lathe I wrote about the other day is now complete.

I learned that installing this machine is very difficult.
I thought I could just bring it over, set it down, and give it a quick level check—but it turns out it requires incredible precision!!

We use a bubble level instead of a digital one.
It’s not quite as cool as the “super-cool digital slant!!” that we have at this level, but,
It's an absolutely incredible level! lol
ThisJust under 170,000 each!!
The accuracy is 0.02 mm per meter.
I leveled up with incredible precision!! lol
The most expensive digital slant we have costs around 30,000 at most, so you can see just how expensive and precise it is.
I’m so embarrassed that I used to say things like, “We can do leveling right here at home!”
Then, I adjusted the main unit's level to 1/100, and this time I also adjusted the rotational accuracy to 1/100.
Attach a dial gauge to the rotating part and rotate it to adjust for any discrepancies.
This leveling task alone took a whole half-day!
I really underestimated the pros.
After that, I gave it a light sanding. Of course, the accuracy is 1/100 lol.
It's my first cut!
The precision of this cut is 1/100, but of course, it’s impossible for an amateur like me to cut with that kind of precision lol.
However, thanks to this machine, we’ll be able to perform a variety of machining operations.
We'll be able to manufacture in-house the items we've been purchasing up until now.
It would be fun to learn how to machine screws. (Apparently, it’s pretty difficult unless you’re quite skilled.)
Once I get the hang of using this lathe, I’d like to try my hand at milling and other machining operations!
This is essential equipment for doing repairs.
There are so many new things to look forward to.
For now, I’m hoping to learn a lot of things and get to the point where I can do them on my own.
