Angle steel, lol
It was even wedged between two intersections—what on earth was that? I pulled over to take a picture lol.
Is the angle embedded in the natural ground? Or is it embedded only in the concrete section, and was this angle used in the past to support a net or something like that??
I still wonder, “How did they do the formwork?” but construction back then was really impressive.
Did they use it as a rebar inserter?? That's strange...
Sometimes they use construction methods that defy our common sense.
Of course, there are some aspects of the old regulations that were better.
We haven't experienced that era ourselves, so we can't say which one was better, but every era has its pros and cons, and we've arrived at the present through a process of constant improvement—so I guess the present is the best, right? lol
It gets better little by little, then worse, then better again.
Technological progress is really slow, but I always hope that we can pass it on to future generations, making even the smallest improvements along the way.
