The other day, during a casual conversation, someone asked: Who is responsible for managing (procurement, use, and return) the hydraulic jacks used during tensioning in ground anchor construction?
That's how the conversation went.
To put it simply, a hydraulic jack is a type of maintenance tool, right?
Upon delivery, we will send it to the site (if possible) and use it there.
To return the item, please take it to the shipping company.
The primary manager is referred to as the supervisor (construction manager).
In terms of management tools, it is the manager who determines the specifications and size of the jack when placing an order.
"Which jack should I use to tighten the ○○KN?" is a very important question.
Is a longer stroke better? Or not??
When using the jack on-site, the supervisor either instructs the worker on how to operate it or operates it themselves.
The operator checks the jack's pressure and applies or releases the load.
It’s the construction manager who makes all the decisions.
Therefore, a hydraulic jack is a maintenance tool.
When returning the item, if you plan to request that the construction company handle the return, please specify this in advance, as it is a heavy item and the number of shipping companies that can handle it is limited.
It's best to check beforehand and make a request. There's a chance they won't transport it even if you bring it there.
It's tough because there aren't that many shipping companies, isn't it?
It really is a hassle to have to search high and low, check everything, and then bring it along, though.
