I Learned the Dangers of Working at Heights | Safety Awareness

The other day, I attended a skills training course.

Aerial Work Platform Skills Training

Since the job site I'm starting at next week absolutely requires a certification in working at heights, I decided to get it, but...

Come to think of it, it's actually less than 10 meters, isn't it? lol

I feel like the special education program was more than enough...

 

Anyway, putting that aside, I’ve come to realize that I’m actually afraid of heights!

It's super scary when you're up 10 meters or higher!!!

The slope has safety rails and is elevated. Even if an earthquake occurs, we’ll be fine for the time being.

But even though you’re supposed to wear a safety harness on an aerial work platform, the bucket itself has a safety harness attached—so if you slip and fall, does it even matter??

That's what I think, lol

To begin with, you generally can’t perform work that extends beyond the operating radius of an aerial work platform, but even so, if something were to go wrong, the bucket would end up falling along with the operator...

Plus, it actually shakes quite a bit, lol.

I did get my certification, but I’m too scared to work at heights of 10 meters or more on an aerial work platform, so I don’t want to do it lol

This time, I had no choice but to do it because the general contractor asked me to...

Having a qualification isn't a bad thing, but sometimes it can backfire, right? lol
