The other day, I went to Wakazono Seisakusho, a local shop, to have them make some legs for my inverter. Haha.

It was a bit of a hassle, but he really is a pro!

They'll do just about anything, lol.

It seems they've recently been doing welding work on motorcycles, such as Harley-Davidsons, as well as welding small parts for the food industry.

Major manufacturers place orders with companies like these to have their products made.

Their industry specializes in the production of precision, handcrafted stainless steel products.

Plus, they sell them with the manufacturer's initials on them.

Branding is important, after all.

However, on the other hand, there are also people who believe that a brand isn't necessary.

I'd definitely recommend him to people like that!

Since he creates very intricate pieces, he’s definitely skilled.

They'll make even special mufflers or other products for you—at least as a start. It helps if you have a drawing, though.

Lately, there have been a lot of requests from elementary schools and other places, so they seem pretty busy, but if I just hand them the blueprints and explain things,

If you give them a deadline of, say, a week, they'll usually get it done, right? lol

But I just really, really wanted to write this...

Come to think of it, extra chapters are the kind of thing you write after the main story, right? lol

Last time, we looked at a tensile stress distribution diagram.

That's right. This is it.

So, this time I'm going to generate a stress distribution diagram for a compression anchor. Haha.

Since stress tends to concentrate at the joint, wouldn't it be better to extend the packer a little further up on the tension-type anchor?

That’s the conclusion, but what about compression anchors?

This is a stress distribution diagram for a compression anchor.

Unlike tension anchors, compression anchors are designed to bear compressive loads along the entire length of the cement slurry.

Doesn't that make you think, "If we're going to install a packer, wouldn't it be better to go with the full-size version if possible?"

Just like with tension-type anchors, I can’t help but wonder if it’s really okay for the edge to break off when a packer is inserted partway through.

If we were to consider only the ideal scenario, it would seem that an all-packer design, as described above, is structurally safe.

Although the packer is made of inorganic material, since it's fabric, it can be completely cut apart.

You’re probably thinking, “It’s mixed in with the cement slurry, so it won’t come off, right?”

Actually, it's really easy to do. I've been experimenting with it, so I know for a fact.

We're currently working on Parts 1 through 7.

Ever since then, I’ve been thinking, “Oh, so that’s what ‘Packer adhesion’ means…” lol. I can’t really say that out loud, though.

However,This is purely my personal opinion.That's it. There's no data at all. I don't think it can be verified either.

But as I was writing this article, I wondered: Would things be different if the structure of the packer itself were to change????

What if the fibers inside the packer became longer and could still maintain sufficient tensile strength???......

I started thinking, “Oh, would it be the same if I just added some fiber??”...

Since the deep layers inside the packer tend to become high-pressure concrete, the strength is...

The other day, I was overthinking things so much that I got completely confused lol

It's a really fun time, though lol

 

And while the issue of temporary anchors was brought up, it seems like it’ll just end with everyone saying, “Well, they are just temporary, after all…”

It seems we need to give the temporary arrangements more careful consideration.

You shouldn't look down on something just because it's temporary. I'm reflecting on that. lol

Next time, I really have to write the rest of the guide on how to make a packer!!!
