This is the sprocket on the front of the drilling machine.
It happens all the time that the pin inside here gets stuck and won't come out, doesn't it!
Although this is a part that rarely needs to be removed, this sprocket actually contains a bearing.
If the chain isn't running smoothly or is loose, it's usually because the bearing on this sprocket is broken.
It would be a piece of cake if I could just replace the bearing, but the problem is, I just can't get this pin out!
So, for now, I'll just sear it over a gas flame.
Since iron expands when heated, the plan was to use a gas torch to remove the stuck parts, but it just wouldn't come off at all lol.
I kept hammering away at it with a 100-kg hammer while searing it, but it didn't work!

That's when I use this!
At first glance, it looks like welding, but it’s actually cutting.
When you hear the term “cutting,” you probably think of gas cutting, but there’s also a method that uses welding rods.

That method described above is standard flame cutting, right?
That's the method that uses acetylene and oxygen for cutting, right?
But that won't cut the rod-shaped pins.
It's cramped in there, and I just can't fit into the sprocket area, lol.
In situations like this, we use a gouging rod to melt the material away!

If you use this, the pin will melt and become unusable, but it will definitely come off.
When using this gouging rod,Tilt it toward you...the molten iron must be collected in a container.
Just make sure not to melt anything other than the pin, lol
