The other day, while teaching a Vietnamese colleague how to repair an old mixer at the company warehouse,

He gave me detailed instructions on how to use the grinder, how to weld, and all sorts of other things.

After all, even though they’re motivated, some of them just aren’t good at detailed work.

I'll teach you how to do it efficiently, quickly, and safely.

For the mixer, you might have to cut out and replace the metal plate because there are holes in the bottom, for example.

Cutting with gas, or removing burrs to finish the piece.

We'll also teach you the order of welding steps, how to build up material, how to perform TIG welding, and how to use the tools.

Next, I'll apply a rust inhibitor with an air gun, and then apply the paint.

How the thinner was mixed at that time, how the airbrush was used, and how it was cleaned.

I think if they work there for three years, they'll be able to work at a metalworks shop too, lol.

There's no doubt you'll gain the skills to make things on your own.

Although they’re here as “temporary workers,” I want them to return home as professionals who can immediately make a contribution, so I’m having them do other things as well.

I'll teach you everything about changing the oil and oil filters on machinery, as well as replacing air filters, fuel filters, and other consumables. (I might even be able to work at a machine repair shop, lol.)

Lately, some of our Japanese employees have been teaching us about all aspects of engines, which has been a huge help.

It’s a bit of a shame that they’ll be ready to go by the time they return, but I hope they’ll become talented individuals who can earn a living and thrive in their home country.
