The other day, I was talking to a landscaping company.

 

"They hardly ever release new base materials anymore!!!"

This means that green space is declining at an unprecedented rate.

 

This was made a long time ago specifically for landscaping.

I haven't been selling much lately lol

That's how much the greenery has disappeared.

 

In recent construction projects, there have been quite a few cases where existing landscaping has been removed to make way for mortar.

I get the impression they handle a few cases like this every year.

 

I’d like to tell the designers this, but I think a mat would be fine for the landscaping.

Is there really almost no need to spray vegetation substrate, and are vegetation mats actually better?

There are all kinds of mats available on the market.

There are so many different kinds—it can be a bit of a hassle just figuring out which one to choose, right?

 

To be honest, if vegetation doesn't grow using the sprayed vegetation substrate method, it won't grow using the vegetation mat method either.

People often say it's a matter of thickness, but in my experience, it's really about the cost involved, lol.

 

On the other hand, when it comes to mats, you don't really need anything too high-performance—it's best to choose one based on a simple, easy-to-understand chart, right?

How about choosing from a table like this, for example?

Maybe we could add a focus on wildlife damage control to this, or something like that?

There are more and more designers and site managers who aren't very familiar with the actual site, so it would be great to have a way to make selections that's simpler and easier to understand.

 

The labor shortage is set to accelerate even further from now on.

The day will come when no one will deliver base materials anymore.

We can't just delay the delivery by a day anymore, like we used to, just because of on-site circumstances!!

This trend will accelerate over the next 10 years.

Our next challenge is a simple construction project.

I think mats will become the mainstream choice for greening within the legal framework.

To do that, you'll need a mat designed for that purpose.

A product that is less expensive than the standard 5 cm-thick sprayed vegetation substrate.
