This is Enta.
I had forgotten that I had applied the spray coating during the cold spell last month, so I checked it the other day.
The on-site mix there is dry-mix mortar, combined with fiber and the so-called anti-freeze additive (supplied by the general contractor).
And the result was...

This is it.

The surface has frozen over beautifully and is floating, hasn't it?

It had become all crumbly.
When you touch the surface, it crumbles off.
Well, this mortar is just a temporary application, so it’s fine. That’s why I’m posting it, but doesn’t it look pretty bad?
It's not like we put it there on purpose, but even when we use hot water, it still freezes.
Simply put, it froze because the initial temperature dropped.
So, the reason the initial temperature dropped was that impurities were mixed into the cement,
Inhibits the heat of hydrationI did.
And then it froze.
Seeing a frozen mortar surface like this really makes me itch to conduct an experiment.
I won't be able to do it this term, though.
For this term, we'll start with the packer experiment.
I think I'll be able to get it done this week.
