This is Enta.
Since this was a construction method I saw for the first time at a NEXCO job site, I’d like to introduce it.

This is the slope of the revetment.
A net with a mesh size of about 4.0 mm has been stretched across the entire mountain.
There's a rock stuck there.
When I first saw it, it seemed really strange, and I wondered, “How do they do that?”

It doesn't even look like there's any mortar or anything underneath.
It's really strange, isn't it!!?
And when I took a closer look...
They drilled a hole in the rock, inserted a bolt, attached a metal bracket, and hooked it onto the net!
But it must take a ton of work, lol.
Each one was caught on the metal fastener.
The surface has been smoothed out to a certain extent, and there are few uneven spots.
I bet it was a lot of work to install this, lol.
I figured they'd point out even if just one was sticking out.
It must have been a very labor-intensive project, but the finished result looked great—it was the kind of work that really made me think, “Ah, I see!”
Naturally, the fasteners are secured from upstream to downstream, so it doesn't look like they'll come loose.
I wondered what this construction method was called, so I looked it up, but I couldn't find anything.
I couldn't find it online either.
It's surprising that there are actually construction methods out there that you can't find online, lol. (Manufacturers, get on the internet already! lol)
It would be a waste to go to the trouble of featuring something only for people not to watch it.
Still, this kind of unusual construction method is really interesting.
It will serve as a source of knowledge that builds your confidence.
It really strikes me—I really do love slopes!
