Those Who Are Evaluated, Those Who Evaluate

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Life and work are just full of hassles, aren't they?

Disappointing

In our field, for example, compressive strength tests for quality control of sprayed mortar.

Isn't it a hassle to remove the core and stuff?

Managing the as-built dimensions within legal frameworks is a pain, isn't it? lol

If you keep listing them like this, it’s such a hassle that there’s just no end to it, isn’t it?

When it comes down to it, the job itself just turns into a huge hassle.

It makes you think that, doesn't it?

However, I think there are parts of my job that I do enjoy.

It's the kind of job where you think, "This is the one thing I really love, though..."

For example, in my case, this includes work using a rebar bender within the legal framework, or drilling holes for long anchors.

I think I tend to like the kinds of jobs that other people tend to avoid.

How about you all?

See Through

However, thisYou can see a person's true character through tedious tasks. That's right.

We used to have an employee who would only do the types of construction work he liked.

We do spray-on work as well, but whenever it comes to spray-on work, that employee always finds some excuse to take the day off.

I always take a break.

They say, “You absolutely have to come out because there’s no one else,” and they give a positive response the day before, but on the day itself, they either go off the grid or fake being sick lol

After that, they come to work as if nothing had happened.

It's okay if you don't like it. As long as we talk it through properly.

People who can't do that usually run away.

In the end, that employee also bailed on the job site lol

I didn't trust it myself, so I figured that was probably the case.

Whether you trust someone or not is what matters, but,

People gradually sift through others in the workplace. That's right.

Sift

I, too, had evaluated that employee based on my own standards, and in the end, I concluded that he was someone I couldn't trust.

That could happen even among coworkers, right?

"That person is capable," "That person will definitely see it through," "I'm a little worried about that person, though..."

You know what I mean, right?

Things like, “You’re no good when you’ve had a drink,” or “You’re really good at this job.”

"That's just the kind of person they are, so there's nothing we can do about it," lol

What's more, each person has their own criteria for judging others.

That's how that kind of assessment comes about.

So, whether someone is trustworthy is determined by how they handle “troublesome situations”—that’s when people’s true colors come out!

Someone who can see tedious tasks through to the end.

Someone who can meet deadlines even for tedious tasks.

People who can't meet deadlines for tedious tasks.

Someone who can't do this, but can do that.

People who can't do it even when you tell them, and people who understand when you tell them.

We're constantly being evaluated.

That said, there’s no need to be so on edge and suspicious, but,

I’ve come to realize that “hassle” is an essential part of improving my skills.

It means that since you don't have that skill, that aspect won't be evaluated.

People who are highly regarded by others generally do their jobs well, study hard, and put in a lot of effort.

If you're only thinking about how to earn a good reputation from others, try taking the initiative to do the things that are a hassle.

And please try to get to the bottom of that complicated issue.

Before you know it, what used to be a hassle won’t seem like a hassle anymore—it’ll turn into something much more troublesome.

Things that are that much of a hassle are actually important. (Level of Awareness)

I'm speaking from an evaluative perspective, but,I don't need a rating! There are people who feel that way, too.

But there's no doubt that I'm being evaluated on my results, so there's no escaping it lol.

You just don't have to worry about it ^^

If you want to improve your skills even more, dive deep into the tough stuff!

Maybe those troublesome things are actually the seeds of skill improvement.

By the way, I’d love to eat tons of “Speed Seeds” and “Wisdom Seeds”! (rolls eyes)

See you later.
