I have a design request, but...
Drawings: Only available in PDF format
Soil type: Unknown (looks like sand and silt); color: red to brown
Current Status: Covered by a blue tarp, so it's hard to tell (it's partially collapsed)
Design Details: We would like to use bolts to accommodate this without changing the slope.

This is a private-sector job, but cases like this are the hardest, aren't they?
It's a little unstable, but if we assume it's stable for now, a safety factor of 1 is fine, right? lol
Since they said they would remove the topsoil and redo the surface...
So, using a 300-frame and rebar insertion method without changing the slope.
Even if they tell me, “Just get it done quickly,” well...
And since it’s a private project, we don’t have any money, right? lol So we’re designing it with the bare minimum of resources, but it’s still really tough.
First, we'll create drawings from the PDF.
Paste the PDF into CAD and trace the cross-section.
So, since I had a Benchflume with a scale of 300, I used that as a basis to adjust the scale.
Then, I took the coordinates of the endpoints and entered them into the software.
Well, I'm used to this part, so I can get it done in about 30 minutes, but that's where the trouble starts lol
It's a request to "do something" even though there's no information available and there's nothing we can do about it.

If there were at least a photo, it would be easier to picture...
So, first, since this is a civilian application, we'll check if the minimum requirements are sufficient, and then determine how much to increase the safety margin.
If possible, I'd like to go see the site...
Requests like this are the hardest to handle...
I can usually get started on a design request fairly quickly if I have the minimum necessary information, but without it, I end up spending a lot more time agonizing over it.
I agonize over it and agonize over it, and in the end I just go for it, but I can’t deny that I tend to go a bit overboard.
Since we have general data available, making design changes for public projects is relatively easy.
After that, it’s just a matter of looking at the contract amount and adjusting it—like, “Since it’s over 30%...” or something like that, right? lol
It actually happens quite often that, once construction finally gets underway, we realize we didn’t need that much after all. Haha (It’s better to be safe than sorry, but it’s not very cost-effective, is it?)

But in the private sector, results are what matter most (>_<)
