I feel like I'm starting to feel a little under the weather, but more than that, I've been hearing about staff shortages.
At our construction site, the ready-mix concrete truck hasn't shown up.
The reason is that they can't send out a ready-mix concrete truck because there's no driver...
This is pretty serious, isn't it?
There have been calls about labor shortages in society for quite some time now.
That has become increasingly apparent.
Even in urban areas, there’s a shortage of vehicles and staff, so it’s even more of a problem in the remote areas where we’re carrying out construction work.
Even though reservations must be made at least one week in advance even in regional cities,
After all, without a driver, you can't make any reservations or do anything else.
Will it be impossible to carry out construction work in the future unless we have our own ready-mix concrete trucks?
It’s not just sites where on-site mixing is possible, after all.
If this trend continues to accelerate, we’ll have to give much more thought to materials and machinery—otherwise, we won’t even be able to carry out construction work.
Does that mean we'll see a growing trend toward using prefabricated products, such as rebar inserts and anchors, rather than using mortar for sprayed applications?
Because it's difficult to pour mortar and other materials into it
Is that where this is going?
With the labor shortage and the resulting economic slump, what on earth is going to happen to Japan?
In order to leave something behind for the future, we need to put our heads together now and create something.
