Well, I thought, “I’ve got about 10 days, so I should have plenty of time to finish!” but that’s actually a bad idea, so I think I’ll get it done early.
If you are a first-tier subcontractor, there are documents other than the safety documents that must be submitted before work begins on-site.
It's less than what the general contractor gets, but it's still a decent amount.
Moreover, when on-site conditions differ significantly, it becomes necessary to draw up blueprints and develop a detailed construction plan.
If you go into the field without doing those things, it will cause confusion on site, and things won't go smoothly.
I place a very high priority on construction plans because whenever I run into trouble on-site, it really makes me realize just how important they are.
By anticipating site conditions and taking appropriate measures before entering the site, you can improve both the speed and safety of construction.
If the plan no longer suits the site conditions, we will draw up a revised construction plan.
When submitting documents to government offices, include only the changes or additions; depending on the municipality, you may be required to mark all changes in red each time.
A site supervisor who can consistently submit revised construction plans to the local government as needed is truly outstanding.
Naturally, the government agency’s evaluation is also high. (The evaluator’s assessment directly affects the score, so it’s extremely important.)
And if you make sure the foreman and the younger workers are all aware of that, things will run more smoothly, right?
I think it's usually the case that only the supervisor and the foreman know about it.
