Report on the 1st Construction DX Expo (Part 1) | Introducing Notable Construction Tech Companies

Hello, everyone

This is Enta.

Big Sight

I went there the other day!

To Tokyo Big Sight.

So, what happened was the first Construction DX Expo.

The term “DX” is becoming more widely recognized these days—do you know what it means?

I think I've mentioned this a few times on my blog, but DX stands for digital transformation, and

I'm like, "What on earth is this?" lol

Digital Tranceformation (literal translation: digital transformation)

What Is Construction DX?

“Transforming the construction industry by integrating advanced digital technologies”

Looks like it, lol

Construction DX Expo

I went on the last day, so it was already packed to the brim, even though there weren't any big names there lol

And my feet hurt after walking more than 10,000 steps lol (I don't even move that much on set)

On top of that, it was especially tough because I was carrying my backpack on my back.

Still, exhibitions like this are really inspiring.

I try to attend as many of these (civil engineering-related) exhibitions as possible.

The reason for this is that I’m constantly exposed to new technologies.

While it’s important to continue working on slope construction projects as usual, I believe it’s even more important to experience something new.

I believe this will be extremely useful in considering the future of the slope construction industry.

For small and medium-sized independent contractors like us to compete even a little with the major companies, we need to integrate new technologies,

Well, even if winning isn't necessary, I wonder if a corporate culture that makes it hard to lose stems from things like that?

I hope this will serve as a trigger for creating something new.

I'll be introducing new technologies at a later date.

See you later
