I finally managed to set up the press machine lol

That said, I’ve only installed the hydraulic cylinder so far, lol.

I've wanted a hydraulic press like this for a while now, and

I had a press shop make it in a custom size.

About five years ago...

I finally got it set up lol

With this, it looks like removing and installing bearings (hot-fit and cold-fit) and other machining tasks will finally become easier.

When it comes to press tools, the ones you can buy in stores are surprisingly small, so sometimes you just can't do anything about it.

Especially for contractors like us who use large machinery.

That said, even if it's just for minor adjustments or something like bearings, I think it's handy to have one on hand.

It's not a metalworking shop, but as I build up a decent collection of tools, there are more and more things I can do.

Lately, I've been wanting an NC lathe or an NC milling machine.

Some of you may not be familiar with it, but basically, it's a machine that can automate metalworking.

If you can whip something up quickly without having to order small parts, it can help cut costs in various ways, and

I think I'll be able to understand the structure of the machine better.

That’s because having some machining equipment expands the range of things we can do.

Well, I said it was to cut costs, but in reality, it’s usually cheaper just to buy it lol.

It takes time to master the skills.

But metalworking machines are the ones that might just save the day in an emergency, lol.

(Though I doubt many people think about that.)

Still, I think it’s irresistible for people who love making things.

We civil engineers are also involved in building things on a large scale, after all ^^
